- 1 (12 oz) can high-quality tuna, drained
- 1 cup plain or panko breadcrumbs
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1–2 tsp hot sauce (to taste)
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Juice of ½ lemon
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine drained tuna, breadcrumbs, green onions, egg, mayonnaise, hot sauce, spices, and lemon juice.
- Mix until well combined. Form into patties about 2-3 inches in diameter.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Fry patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from heat and let rest on paper towels before serving.
