- 1 lb lean ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1 small onion, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, onion, garlic, ketchup, salt, and pepper until just mixed.
- In another bowl, whisk balsamic vinegar and brown sugar; reserve half for glazing.
- Shape the meat mixture into a loaf on the baking sheet and brush with half of the glaze.
- Bake for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Brush with remaining glaze during the last few minutes of baking. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
