  • Ground beef
  • Italian sausage
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Crushed tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat, add garlic and crushed tomatoes, then simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with an egg, salt, pepper, and half of the shredded mozzarella until smooth.
  4. Start layering: spread some meat sauce on the bottom of the dish, add noodles, half the ricotta mixture, more meat sauce; repeat until all ingredients are used.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil in the last 10-15 minutes to brown the top.
