- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onion for about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes until thickened.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and arrange Texas toast slices on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake until golden brown (about 5-6 minutes).
- Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto each slice of toast and serve hot.
