Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Steep Earl Grey tea bags in 1 cup of hot milk for about 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk together cake flour, baking powder, and granulated sugar.
- In another bowl, cream unsalted butter until fluffy; gradually mix in sugar.
- Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients and brewed tea mixture until just combined.
- Divide batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool before frosting or serving plain with powdered sugar.
