Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
- In another bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Beat in eggs one at a time along with the vanilla until combined.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; avoid overmixing.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared sheets, leaving space between each cookie. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are set but centers remain soft. Cool on racks.
