- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (cut into small pieces)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Wash and core the apples, leaving the bottom intact.
- In a bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon; fill each apple generously.
- Top each apple with a piece of butter and sprinkle nuts if using.
- Place apples in a baking dish filled with water and bake for 25-30 minutes until tender.
- Serve warm and drizzle with syrup from the baking dish.
