Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract into the creamed mixture until combined.
- Gradually incorporate the mashed bananas, flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently with a spatula.
- Drop rounded balls of dough onto lined baking sheets about two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft. Cool briefly on sheets before transferring to wire racks.
