Instructions
- If using dried pinto beans, soak them overnight and rinse well.
- In a large pot over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy (about 5-7 minutes).
- Add chopped onions and bell peppers; sauté until softened (3-4 minutes).
- Stir in minced garlic, chili powder, and cumin; cook until fragrant (1-2 minutes).
- Mix in rinsed pinto beans and BBQ sauce; stir well to combine. Let simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- Adjust salt and pepper to taste before serving hot.
