- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
- 8 oz large pasta shells
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 tbsp butter (plus more for cooking)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Chop chicken into bite-sized pieces. Boil water in a large pot.
- Add pasta shells and cook according to package instructions until al dente; drain and return to pot.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chicken and sauté until golden brown, about 6-8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a saucepan, melt butter on low heat, whisk in flour until smooth, then gradually add milk. Stir in cheese until melted and creamy.
- Mix honey and pepper into the cheese sauce. Pour over pasta and chicken; stir until evenly coated.
