- 2 pounds sirloin or chuck steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 medium yellow onions, sliced thin
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes and trim excess fat.
- Sauté onions in olive oil over medium heat until translucent; add minced garlic until fragrant.
- Transfer sautéed onions and garlic to the crockpot; add steak cubes on top.
- Pour in beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and sprinkle brown sugar over everything.
- Set the crockpot on low heat and cook for 6-8 hours.
- Thicken the sauce by stirring in cornstarch mixture about 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve warm, drizzled with sauce.
