Instructions
- Gather and prepare all ingredients.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat; add onions and cook until golden brown (15-20 minutes).
- Stir in beef broth, thyme, salt, and pepper; simmer for 5 minutes.
- Cook gnocchi according to package instructions; drain well.
- Combine gnocchi with the onion mixture until coated.
- Transfer to a baking dish, top with Gruyère cheese, and broil until golden (about 5 minutes).
