- 1 French baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
- 8 oz Brie cheese, cut into small pieces
- 8 oz fresh cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tsp fresh thyme leaves
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil.
- Bake for about 10 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté minced garlic in olive oil for about 30 seconds. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until tender and golden-brown (5-7 minutes).
- Stir in fresh thyme for the last minute of cooking and season with salt and pepper.
- Top each toasted baguette slice with a piece of Brie cheese followed by sautéed mushrooms. Drizzle with extra olive oil if desired.
- Bake again for 5-7 minutes until Brie is melted but not runny.
- Enjoy warm as an appetizer or snack!
