- 2 lbs brisket
- 1 large sweet onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 8 corn or flour tortillas
- Fresh cilantro
- Lime wedges
- Avocado slices
Instructions
- Season the brisket generously with taco seasoning. Let it rest while preparing other ingredients.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the onions until translucent (about 5 minutes). Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Layer sautéed onions and garlic in the slow cooker. Place the seasoned brisket on top and add beef broth around it.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until tender.
- Shred the brisket using two forks and warm tortillas. Assemble tacos with shredded meat and desired toppings.
