Basic Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a heart-shaped cake pan.
- Cream the butter and sugar together in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder in another bowl.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until smooth.
- Pour the batter into your prepared heart-shaped pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
- Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Frost the cooled cake with whipped cream and top with strawberries and chocolate ganache.
